TALADNOI MUSEUM

พิพิธภัณฑ์เกิดจากผู้คนที่ได้สร้างชุมชนและวัฒนธรรมขึ้นมาจนถูกนํามาพัฒนาต่อเป็นสถาปัตยกรรม งานออกแบบ และงานศิลปะ สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นทั้งหมดได้ถูกรวบรวมและเก็บรักษาให้คงอยู่สืบไปไว้ในพิพิธภัณฑ์ จึงเกิดเป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ตลาดน้อยที่จะคอยส่งเสริมและเก็บรักษาสิ่งที่มีคุณค่าไว้ในพิพิธภัณฑ์ ผมจึงเกิดคําว่า “ช่องว่าง” ที่จะคอยหลอมรวมทุกสิ่งอย่างที่มันแตกต่างให้เพื่อคงอยู่ “ช่องว่าง” เกิดจากปัญหาของตลาดน้อย "เส้นเวลาที่ยึดออกเมืองที่ถูกพัฒนาผู้คนที่ไหลเข้ามา" ยาวนานมาตั้งแต่กรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ ทำให้พื้นที่สาธารณะน้อยลง ที่อยู่อาศัยเพิ่มมากขึ้น กลายเป็นชุมชนแออัด จากคุณภาพชีวิตที่อยู่ทนต้องกลายมาเป็นทนอยู่ จึงเกิดคำว่า “ช่องว่าง” ขึ้นมาเพื่อให้คนในชุมชนหรือคนที่เข้ามาได้หยุดพักและใช้เวลาเรียนรู้และศึกษาเกี่ยวกับตลาดน้อย

“หลอมรวม” ด้วยความสัมพันธ์อันดีกับเหล็กมายาวนาน เริ่มจากบ้านโรงกระทะ ถัดมาเป็นหมู่บ้านช่างหลอมจีน กลายมาเป็นเชียงกงในปัจจุบัน

“แตกต่าง” ความแตกต่างที่หลากหลายทางผู้คน ศาสนา วัฒนธรรม รวมไปถึงความเชื่อและสิ่งปลูกสร้าง แต่อยู่รวมกันในพื้นที่อย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน

“คงอยู่” ความแตกต่างที่ยังคงอยู่จนถึงปัจจุบัน ทำอย่างไรให้ที่จะไม่ให้มันสลายหรือหายไป จึงเกิดพิพิธภัณฑ์ตลาดน้อยขึ้นมา ที่จะคอยเก็บรักษาสิ่งที่น่าค้นหาที่หลงเหลือจากอดีตให้คงอยู่

The museum was founded by people who built communities and cultures, which later evolved into architecture, design, and art. These elements were collected and preserved, forming the Talad Noi Museum to promote and safeguard their value. I, therefore, introduced the concept of “space” as a means to unify and sustain these diverse aspects. “Space” emerges from the challenges faced by Talat Noi—a timeline extending outward as the city evolves, continuously drawing people in—a process that has been unfolding since the Rattanakosin era. As residential areas expand, public spaces have decreased, leading to overcrowded communities. What was once a comfortable living environment has become a struggle to get by. This is why the concept of "space" was introduced—to give both locals and visitors a place to pause, reflect, and learn about Talat Noi.

"Fusion"—a deep-rooted connection with steel that has endured through time. It started with Ban Rong Krata, later became a Chinese blacksmith village, and eventually transformed into Chiang Kong as it exists today.

"Diversity"—different people, religions, cultures, beliefs, and buildings, all living together in the same place from past to present.

"Preservation"—diversity that has endured to this day. To keep it from fading away, the Talat Noi Museum was created to safeguard the traces of the past and preserve its hidden gems for future generations.
