สภาพทางสังคมและสภาวะทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศไทยในปัจจุบันพ่อแม่จะต้องออกไปประกอบอาชีพนอกบ้านทำให้พ่อแม่ต้องส่งลูกเข้าโรงเรียนหรือสถานรับเลี้ยงเด็กเร็วขึ้นกว่าเดิมความต้องการในการจัดการศึกษาสำหรับเด็กปฐมวัยจึงเพิ่มมากขึ้น เด็กในระดับนี้ยังรับการเรียนรู้ได้ไม่มาก ซึ่งเด็กในวัยนี้จะเรียนรู้ขั้นพื้นฐานประสาทสัมผัสทั้ง 5 การมองเห็น ได้กลิ่น รับรสได้ยิน สัมผัส โดยสั่งการจากสมอง จึงได้นำทฤษฎี “ Brain -Based Learning ” ซึ่งเป็นการนำความรู้ความเข้าใจของสมองมาใช้ในการออกแบบจัดกระบวนการเรียนรู้
